LADY GAGA - Monster Ball Tour 09-10 - Knight Center - Miami, FL (09.01.02)
So~ The show was 7:30 but it didn't really start until like almost 9 I think. We drove to down town and got there a little before 7:30 and holy shit it was cold out. There were people standing out asking for tickets and I was like; "Look at these dillweeds. Way to plan." We got in and found our seats, we were seated on the right side in the center-ish. It was pretty cool. I've only ever been to standing lives.
There was a homo band called Semi Precious Weapons who played as the opening act. (And just so you know, I don't say homo to be insulting. I like gay people, except if they are like these two guys I went to high school with, my sister is gay and I'd call her up just to say "you're gay".) Anyway, yeah typical homo band. The singer guy cussed alot, poured "champagne" into people's mouths, and yah know, typical gay stuff.
They cleared the stage and what not and Viki and I sat and chilled and talked about all the random ass old people that were and why would parents bring their kids to these shows. I wouldn't.
Jason Derulo comes on stage, it surprised me. I didn't know he was gonna open too! If you don't know Jason Derulo he sings
Whatcha Say and
In My Head (which is my favorite song). He's sexy. Even from far away, he has a good stage presence and a great voice. I was reminded of Taeyang.
He performed:
-
In My Head-
Ridin Solo (All I could think of was Onew when he said "Solo Onew". It would be completely amazing if Onew listened to Derulo.)
-
Whatcha SayHe also did two other songs, one I'm not entirely sure of the title but it was something about a perfect girl, which he pulled a girl up from the audience for (idk if it was She Flies Me Away or what lol) and What If. I will have to buy his album when it comes out in Feb.
Jason left the stage and we waited and waited for Gaga. Drunk people came and all sorts of homos too. They played an ad Gaga recorded for homeless young people.
Support Homeless Youth and while it's a cool story brah, it ain't all about the gays. I know her biggest supporters are the LGBT community but that add smacked a little too much of "help the gays" instead of "help the kids". I'm all for these sorts of campaigns, if it weren't for the shelters I grew up in I possibly be wouldn't be here today, but focusing one particular group as that ad did (gay youth) kinda pissed me off. Why not just focus on YOUTH whether they are gay or not.
ANYWAY. ANYWAY.
So yeah, we sat through these cool little vids of Gaga in various, sometimes creepy, shoots. Then the Lady came out and it was crazy mad. I'm not entirely sure the order of songs but this is what I remember and Viki can correct me~
- Just Dance (TOTALLY THOUGHT OF SHINee's cover and then thought that if I were dating Key I would totally take him to a Gaga show for our date.)
- Poker Face
- Speechless
- Love Game
- Paper Gangsta (zomg ♥)
- Bad Romance
- Eh, Eh (nothing else to say)
- Alejandro
- Beautiful, Dirty, Rich
- Dance In The Dark
- Paparazzi (I thought of TVXQ and cried a little)
- Monster
- So Happy I Could Die
- Teeth
I was kinda sad she didn't do Starstruck. But yeah, her outfits we so fucking slammin'. She wore one at the end that sort of looked Samurai-ish or maybe Egyptian but it was hellah rad. Her MC moments were so funny, she's hilarious. I wish I could recall some of the things she said xD I guess I was too excited.
"This is our third date Miami, and tomorrow we won't see each other but tonight we can have sex and I won't feel like such a slut."
She did piano and while she was playing she threw one leg up and used it keysmash. She also perched on the seat, not sitting perching. OH. Yeah, there was a moment where the screens played this video of a crow just chillin and being a creepy crow and I totally thought of Taemin because Gwyn says Taemin is like a bird and now I associate him with his character in her fic LAST TRAIN TO WHEVER (yes Gwyn, this is a shameless plug for you.)
There was with crazy girl infront of Viki doing all these spastic dances and it was really ridiculous and Viki was trying to get pics/vids so I switched seats with her and then laughed to myself everytime the girl infront of me danced.
There was like fake fallatio, fake sex and the dude from Semi Precious Weapons said something about cunnilinigus and I am still shocked people brought their kids.
But yeah, SHOW WAS AWESOME. So awesome it spurned a discussion on my facebook about the use of pero.
However, still have beef that she generalized all of us to be gay...
We left and I used ninja line cutting skills to get over to the merch booth so we could grab shirts! Really pink shirts with Gaga on it and THE MONSTER BALL TOUR. SWEEEEEEEET.
